PANIC (Anxiety Attacks)

People who have panic disorder experience intense physical symptoms, such as trouble breathing, heart pounding, sweating, dizziness or other sensations associated with intense fear. These symptoms may be created by a specific trigger, or may come out of nowhere. Often, once a person has experienced a panic attack, the fear of having another one may prompt anxious thoughts, which increase the chances of additional panic symptoms. There are effective treatments for panic, and we can discuss these with you during the assessment.
